Through the Starbucks Armed Forces Network
The Supplier Diversity team is actively sourcing diverse General Contractors; Architects; Designers; Commercial Furniture Manufacturers; Commercial Restaurant Equipment (freezers, refrigerators, dishwashers, non-brewing equipment) suppliers in under-represented neighborhoods where we plan to open FY16 community stores (NYC, Phoenix, Chicago, Ferguson, Milwaukee, Birmingham, Memphis, NOLA). In addition, we are always seeking to increase our US/CAN pipeline of Food/Beverage and Transportation/Logistics (truckload, less-than-truckload, temperature controlled and warehouse) suppliers.
Please feel free to share the note below and documents attached with your networks and any potential suppliers.
Starbucks has a long history of developing stores in diverse neighborhoods and we plan to do even more. You may have seen the news story; Starbucks plans to open stores in 15 under-represented neighborhoods across the U.S. where we’ve identified diverse cities we will open a community store in. Starbucks aspires to work with local women and minority owned contractors to design build & maintain these stores. As well as, stock our stores with locally relevant food, beverage and product offerings.
