Serve our Vets was founded by Dr. Theresa Cheng as a way to give back to the men and women who have dedicated so much to our country. 

Who can be served?

Serve our Vets assists those that have served in war or areas of conflict, do not have dental insurance, and are low income. 

What do these heroes receive?

They are provided completely free dental care from skilled dentists who volunteer their time. 

Why do the dentists do this?

The dentists would like to show appreciation and respect to war veterans.

Where can a hero receive this treatment?

Treatment is done at participating dentist offices near the patient, with locations all around the country.  

Serve our Vets has helped over 400 veterans receive comprehensive dental care.

They also have 250+ dentists signed up across the country to assist qualified war veterans in their communities. The average amount of dental work donated from each dentist for a veteran is nearly $3,000.

Meet Dr. Cheng

Theresa Cheng DDS, a 1985 graduate of Grad Perio of University of Washington, had a private practice limited to periodontics and implants in Issaquah, Washington until 2013. 

She has advocated for dental treatment for war veterans and their family since 2008. She also volunteers on the Medical Teams International dental van. Dr. Cheng is a part-time Clinical Assistant Professor at the School of Dentistry, University of Washington. She is also on the Emeritus Council of Washington Women in Need advocating for health and education of low-income women.
