One of the best lessons I ever learned was from my first company commander. It stuck with me.
"A person's ability to lead is directly related to their physical fitness."
Leaders are mentally strong as a result of being physically strong. If your goal this year is to lead, grow, and help others--don't mess around. Get to it. You don't have to be an gym rat to get in good shape, just start doing something. I dig the sports app by PEAR, pocket yoga, and my newest love--the Specialized Levo. With the exception of the bike, those are all physical fitness apps that cost less than two months at the gym, can be conducted anywhere, and put you on a road to being a strong leader.
With that being said, this community is full of people that spend 12 months in the gym. And January is a challenging time. As a result, they've conquered frustration with humor. This week's Mid-Week Morale is dedicated to the "Resolutioners."
My request to you year-round fitness ballers--please issue more high fives than dirty looks. Be that positive motivation that encourages the Resolutioners to hit their goals. Doing so will only make your community stronger.
Now to the humor and free shirts.
Lisa. You killed it this week.
Scott. We hope you say this nicely with a CFF shirt on.
Lisa. This made us giggle a little.
