Old man who has always loved canvas shoes. Have worn out many pairs of Converse and especially loved the monochrome look. Loved the feel of my canvas jungle boots while serving. Was actually looking to buy some Woobies but came across some concerning reviews on quality and stumbled upon the Shadowbans by Combat Flip Flops. Was frankly unsure because they were so much cheaper... how could they truly outclass a more expensive rival. I didn't buy the Woobies, so can not give you a head to head comparison but I love these Shadowbans! So comfortable. Seem amazingly sturdy. The pull tap at the heal is sewn all the way down to the sole instead of being just a little sewn on loop at the top. The padding is perfect. Still that minimalist, light weight feel, but it somehow cradles my feet and makes standing for long days as comfortable as the pairs of Hokas my wife bought me. Who would have thought I'd be comfortable and stylin all at the same time. Unless there is a catch... I'll be wearing Shadowbans to my grave.
Comfortable, we'll see how they hold up to extremely dry climate
I recently got the Men's Shadowban High Top shoes, and they’ve been fantastic. The fit is perfect, and they feel great for lifting weights, walking around, or even riding my motorcycle. I love the clean and simple design with no branding sticking out.

I’ve worn converse high tops for years now, I’ve always just loved the look and fit of the shoe. Some guys wear sneakers as their everyday, for me it’s been all-black Chuck Taylor’s. It’s for that reason that I took a chance on a pair of ShadowBan’s, and after 2 weeks of wearing them daily, I’m here to report that I’ll probably never go back to converse. They just FEEL sturdier and better made. Firmer canvas and higher quality rubber. Better quality laces. I put insoles in to aid in comfort, and I’m able to walk 10,000 steps daily with minimal foot fatigue. I have a pair of the black and green Jungle’s as well, I’ll eventually get a pair of Desert Fox as well. If you’re a fan of Converse, you’ll like Combat FlipFlop’s high tops even more.
Order a size down and they’ll fit perfectly!! I usually wear a size 15 got the 14. Instantly comfortable. I’m on my feet 10 to 12 hours a day walk an average of 10 miles a day and what a game changer! I will be getting another pair in the olive or tan. Definitely recommend. They are also nice to wear out and look formal! Fantastic job ladies and gentlemen!
